Excitement and adventure!

A short note - somebody on eBay in the next town over was selling a Tablet PC that was as good as my desktop PC back home for a ridiculously cheap amount. They were selling it, now it's been sold and I own it. I'll be selling that old computer of mine when I get back after I've gotten everything off it I want to get off.

Neat. Is that like a PC made of nano machines, that you swallow and it integrates itself into your blood stream?

Maybe I'm getting the definition of a tablet wrong. Maybe (and fantastically more likely), I'm just being downright stupid.

I've always wanted one since I saw them using them on Stargate. They're just so damn expensive that I bought a laptop instead.

Anyway, hope your trip is rockin'. I didn't even know you had a blog about it until I accidentally found it through someone else's blog who friended me on Twitter once upon a time.

Very obscure chain of events.

A tablet PC is like a laptop that you can draw on the screen of. Also you can fold the screen outwards covering the keyboard and just have this screen you can read/write/draw/watch movies on. It's so rad.

I actually read a book once which was very much like Ashley's definition. People had a computer microchip inserted just behind their ear & you basically operated your computer through voice command & were able to do all sorts of remarkable "things". The screen was a holographic image & you were essentially your own computer, mobile phone, etc in one! Of course the "evil" master computer wanted world domination blah, blah, blah. But it was a very good read & if I could remember what it was called I could get you a copy. Ah well. Glad to hear you have a new toy to play with. I guess that means your finances have stretched well for you?

Home soon!!! Can't wait to see you again!!
